The four best flexible workspace gyms

In a new world of hybrid working, where organisations are still trying to gauge how their teams will function and how many people will ever be back in the office together at once, the flexible office market has become the perfect place to test out the waters.

As such, it has become abundantly clear it’s more important than ever for office space to provide important additional extras, helping create a complete and beneficial working environment and making an office more than just a workspace.

One way this can easily be achieved is through access to an onsite gym. With the cost-of-living skyrocketing, the ability to offer staff and team members access to free facilities such as these becomes both a golden ticket in helping to satisfy current team members, but also a way of attracting new talent.

In the last two years where access to public sports facilities and health centres were restricted due to lockdowns; having a gym only a couple of steps away from your office acts as a great welcome call to those wishing to let off steam pre, middle or post working day. Want to improve mood and productivity? This could be a simple and cost-effective fix.

Ocubis – Fulham Green

Nestled closely to Fulham Green, these recently refurbished flexible offices in SW6 offer both a high-quality work environment, as well as associated gym space.

This large state-of-the-art gym is located on the top floor and offers stunning views over the city. In the age of zoom fatigue, the views will act as motivation enough to get on the treadmill and watch the sun rise or set over London.

After a pre-work session you can easily refuel with a short trip down to the ground floor to enjoy the onsite café with extensive menu options.

TOG – Thomas House

While gyms are a feature in a large number TOG’s London portfolio, the offering at Thomas House is the pick of the bunch.

The gym lives up to and matches TOG’s modern and premium office product. Run by Manor, here’s a gym that will be able to cater to you HIIT, strength training and yoga needs with a sound system to keep the beat going and you motivated.

Once the gym session is done and you have freshened up using the luxury shower facilities, you can decide if you wish to make use of the onsite café, screen room or roof terrace that taking an office here comes with.

The Ministry – Southwark

A household name in the entertainment industry, Ministry of Sound are proud to present their ground-breaking workspace. Bringing that edge you would associate with the brand name; The Ministry offers everything and more for the modern workspace.

Beautifully designed offices flooded with natural light, a deli filled with delicious coffee and homemade food, an industry-leading gym and fitness studio with complimentary multi-discipline classes, and a bar & terrace serving up incredible cocktails and regular parties with Ministry of Sound DJs. Their new fitness offering puts any central London fitness centre to shame. Onsite classes include yoga, HIIT and even fitness raves, and with the latest equipment, bespoke production lighting, a huge sound system and a shiny disco ball, it truly lives up to the Ministry name.

LABS – Holborn

Set over nine floors, LABS House in Holborn offers a wide range onsite communal areas to enjoy outside of your private office space. In addition to its gym, the building boasts a ground floor café and seventh floor event space with double-height windows and views across the city.

The gym comes fully equipped and is bright and spacious with high ceilings, creating a very pleasant workout environment that will never feel too crowded.

Only moments’ walk from Holborn, LABS offers an office and gym location that is as centrally positioned as possible between the historic City of London and the vibrant West End.
